Sea Management can, upon request, assist the Owner in selecting the most suitable shipyard for the construction of the vessel. This support ensures a structured, transparent, and well‑managed procurement process from early bidding through final contract signing.


Our Assistance May Include:


  • Preparation of the bid package – assembling all technical and commercial documentation required for shipyards to submit accurate offers.


  • Direct contact with bidding shipyards – handling clarification questions and ensuring consistent communication throughout the tender phase.


  • Bid evaluation and shortlisting – comparing proposals, assessing yard capabilities, and presenting a clear recommendation.


  • Support during contract negotiations – assisting the Owner in discussions with shortlisted shipyards to secure the best terms.


  • Development of contract forms and documents – drafting or refining contract structures to reflect the project scope, responsibilities, and performance requirements.


Project Management for Vessel Construction

Sea Management provides full project management services for the construction of new vessels. Our role is to safeguard the Owner’s interests throughout the entire process — from contract signing with the shipyard to final delivery of the completed vessel. We ensure quality, predictability, and transparency at every stage.


Our Project Management Responsibilities Include:


  • Complete project oversight
    Managing the full process from the Owner–Shipyard contract until the vessel is officially delivered.


  • Drawing and documentation review
    Ensuring all drawings, plans, and technical documents are consistent, accurate, and aligned with contractual requirements.


  • Equipment specification review
    Verifying that all equipment meets the agreed specifications and technical standards.


  • Quality assurance and HSE evaluation
    Reviewing the shipyard’s quality assurance systems and health, safety, and environment (HMS) procedures.


  • Financial control and variation management
    Monitoring project cost development, reviewing Variation Requests from the shipyard, and managing Variation Orders issued by the Owner.


Site Supervision for Conversion Projects

Sea Management provides dedicated site supervision to ensure that conversion projects are executed in full compliance with the Contract, technical requirements, and agreed quality standards. Our role is to safeguard the Owner’s interests throughout daily yard activities and to secure predictable, high‑quality project execution.


Our Site Supervision Scope Includes:


  • Contract compliance monitoring
    Ensuring the vessel is constructed and converted strictly in accordance with the Contract and project specifications.


  • Workshop drawing & documentation review
    Reviewing shipyard workshop drawings and all technical documentation to ensure alignment with design requirements.


  • Equipment specification review
    Verifying that equipment selected and installed meets the approved specifications.


  • Daily technical follow‑up
    Managing day‑to‑day clarifications, technical discussions, and issue resolution directly with the shipyard.


  • Quality control & verification
    Conducting on‑site quality inspections, witnessing tests, participating in commissioning, and attending sea trials.


  • Progress control
    Monitoring schedule adherence, identifying delays early, and reporting deviations to ensure timely project execution.


  • Progress and risk reporting
    Providing the Owner with regular updates on progress, budget status, and any challenges or risks that may affect delivery.


  • Support during delivery phase
    Assisting the Owner through the final delivery process to ensure all contractual obligations are fulfilled.


Electrical Design & Engineering

Sea Management provides comprehensive electrical design and engineering services tailored to the demanding requirements of shipbuilding, offshore operations, retrofits, and advanced product development.


Our team combines practical experience with multidisciplinary expertise to deliver reliable, efficient, and future-ready electrical systems — from early-stage concept development through installation, commissioning, and operational support.


Our Electrical Design & Engineering Includes:


  • Concept, basic and detail design of electrical systems
    Complete electrical design and engineering documentation necessary to construct a new vessel including workshop and construction-ready drawings.


  • Calculations
    Complete engineering work needed to verify, size, and optimize the vessel’s electrical systems which includes load analysis, short circuit calculations, voltage drop analysis etc.


  • Site suppport 
    On-site assistance provided by electrical engineers during construction, installation, testing, and commissioning of a vessel’s electrical systems.
